The interview process I experienced was remarkably unprofessional. It began in November and concluded in April without providing a definitive response until the very end. Throughout this period, I was required to interview with eight different individuals, with no clear justification for the numerous rounds.
A lack of transparency, communication, and support characterized the process. There were extended periods during which I received no updates, only to have interviews abruptly scheduled. Both the hiring manager and the HR representative were consistently unresponsive, failing to provide information on timelines, salary expectations, or subsequent steps. I had to be exceptionally proactive to remain on their radar.
Ultimately, when I was informed that I did not receive the position, the reason given was a lack of necessary experience. If that was indeed the case, why drag me along and get my hopes up? Additionally, I noticed that the selected candidate had significantly less relevant experience.
I was so excited about the role and opportunity to work at the organization, but the whole experience left a very sour taste in my mouth. If this is how they treat prospective hires, I would be worried about how they treat employees.
