Interview process was handled by a head of department and a senior engineer. It started with the normal introduction and background. Then followed by technical question and assessment. The technical assessment is a medium level leetcode question. High expectations was set even though it is an entry level position. The interviewer seems not interested with projects you did during college and internship even though the projects involved fundamental knowledge in AI algorithm, and more interested with side projects. Note that at the time of interview, RAG and Gen-AI is rather new and not covered in most uni syllabus. I was able to explain the concept of RAG and Gen-AI, but the lack of project and actual experience with the concept seems to put off the interviewer's interest.
