      Entrevista

      I was reached out to by DAZN. I had a call with the recruiter I had a videocall with the hiring manager and the team members I had an interview on site with the recruiter I had an on site interview with team members and principal engineer (remote) During the on site interview I was asked to program a generic hiring test which would be unrelated to my day job, this was mentioned as pair programming although people were mostly silent here. 1 hour was dedicated to this. This is usually a terrible way to gauge experience of a candidate as this is really not how engineers do work usually. This was not helped by the fact the people in the room were not really giving any feedback. After that, all the engineers (rightfully) criticized the implementation which could have been better. I felt like this took longer than necessary with people repeating the same thing over and over again. Once that was done, it looked like one of the engineers who was silent until then looked up questions regarding Kubernetes, which I happily explained. Once again, due to the quickly changing nature of Kubernetes, and the questions being on topics which were recently implemented, I could not answer everything, but I mentioned I would know where to find it. I had the feeling of a very bureaucratic company, for no good reason. I was told during the meeting that the CEO is a bit old school. I am of the opinion that the company reflects the CEO, and I believe this shows it. I do not think there is malice in any of the people involved, maybe just a lack of being able to attract talent where the interview process does not help.
