Me postulé en línea. Acudí a una entrevista en DAI
Entrevista
Contacted by HR, interview was then held online by two team members. Friendly and interested/interesting. Asked about 10 questions, mostly about myself and my background, but also some competency based questions too. Took two weeks to hear back from HR.
Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 4 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en DAI (Londres, Inglaterra) en jul 2022
Entrevista
Two rounds of interviews, both 1 hour long, 2 weeks apart from each other then result the following week.
Both interviews went really well and the people seemed genuine and interested - I took time out of my holiday for the second interview as the position was a really good fit and I was keen for the role. The first interview was with the Head of Programme and a Senior Project Manager, and the second was with the same Senior Project Manager and his colleague of the same role.
However, a few days after the second interview I recieved an offer from the HR recruiter offering me a Junior Project Manager role as this is what DAI had assessed my skills as, even though the Junior Project Manager role was a role I was doing at another organisation 2 years ago with a 15k pay cut, and at no point in the process was the possibility of another role mentioned that wasn't the Senior Project Manager, not in the interviews or the invite to interviews - all listed SPM as the role. Apparently my salary expectations were too high, even though they were commensurate with the SPM role and its advertised salary banding. Communication was shockingly bad as the recruiter could not explain why this was the case, and I was ignored and ghosted by both recruiters I'd been speaking to once the hiring manager had been in touch to confirm the junior offer. They wasted my time completely and refused to answer my questions as to what had gone wrong, so apply here with caution as DAI doesn't seem to have any value on interviewees' time or value their potential staff correctly.
