Totally unprofessional experience. I had a great conversation with company's recruiter and she said she would send my resume to the hiring manager. I got a reply back from the recruiter that the manager wanted to meet with me the following day. When I got there, it took fifteen minutes before anyone met with me and at that, it was a lady from another department. Based on her reaction it seemed wholly unprepared, as though it was a last minute situation and to her credit she did well, doing her best to explain the business, but I never learned anything about the position. The recruiter followed up via email and I told her what had happened. However by that time I knew something was amiss as the following week the recruiter told me they were going with someone else. It was a total waste of my time since based on the sequence of events they already knew who they would hire. The hiring manger should have told me this sooner, even well before I visited since they were expecting me; or even come in five minutes and make up some kind of excuse. I mean anything would have sufficed. Given such an unprofessional environment, I'd say I dodged a bullet.
