Me postulé en línea. Acudí a una entrevista en CrossLink Life Sciences (Norcross, GA) en dic 2020

      Entrevista

Was let in the front door by the nice receptionist lady, and sat in a big conference room where me and the interviewer could maintain social distancing. The interview as very strange, firstly I was interviewed by the COO of the company rather than someone from HR or a hiring manager, who walked in and seemed to be having a bad day. He started the interview by staring at me as if he was interrogating a criminal, then proceeded to ask the basic dry interview questions - "what are 3 strengths and weaknesses you have? Why do you want to work here? Describe a time you dealt with a difficult situation at your previous job. What can you offer to the company that is unique?". Those types of questions that no one likes to answer. The COO then got out of his chair and walked over to a whiteboard where he decided to speedrun a description and breakdown of the entire companies operation pipeline and how each department interacted with each other in about 30 seconds only to look back over to me after the explanation with a look that screamed "You got all that memorized, right?". They also had the A/C on in that room while the temperature outside was already extremely cold, which added being physically uncomfortable to the already uncomfortable situation I found myself in. I was told that I would hear back from their HR department in "about a week" as their HR person was out of the office. I still haven't heard back from them but assume that they filled the role or have decided to pass on my application. Overall the experience was unpleasant and uncomfortable. When I asked the interviewer a simple question like "What does your company do that sets you apart from the competition?" He basically read their about me section from their website and never actually answered the question. I would recommend that the COO learns how to perform a better interview process as his demeanor and approach were very sub-par and stand-offish compared to other interview processes I have been apart of. I left that interview not only feeling bad about how it all went down, but also re-evaluating if it was going to be a good place to work for in the event they did extend me an offer strictly based on how the COO decided to handle the interview.
