I wanted to share how incredibly disappointing my experience with the interview process at Crescent Petroleum was. I went through six rounds of interviews and a two-hour assessment, which I accepted as part of a thorough hiring process. However, what followed was beyond unreasonable.
I was asked to complete two additional tasks that required significant effort and time — tasks that, frankly, felt like actual work being outsourced to candidates. I sacrificed precious weekends with my daughter to meet their expectations, believing it was a genuine part of the evaluation process.
And after all that? Complete silence. I had to follow up just to receive a response. The reply? A blunt and dismissive, "Sorry, we decided not to continue with your candidacy." No acknowledgment of the time and effort I invested. No constructive feedback. Just an impersonal rejection from what I initially believed was a respectable company.
It's incredibly disheartening to see companies treat candidates this way. Time is valuable, and the least they could offer is a fair and respectful hiring experience. I hope no one else has to go through something similar.
