I applied online. I had a phone interview, which overall went well and I appreciated the conversation, but I could tell that my interviewer was skeptical as I had a very unique experience in event planning. While I value companies that appreciate unique perspectives as it could bring in new initiatives, I truly totally understand if they would rather hire a cookie-cutter with precise experiences - it's less risky. However that wasn't really the problem... I was told I'd hear back at the end of the following week, and received the silent treatment. This company falls into the infamous "ghoster" category.
