Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 5 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en Convergys (Westminster, CO) en oct 2017
Entrevista
The interview process went well in some regards and in other aspects, fairly unprofessional. I spoke with a recruiter in September 2017, after she had found my profile on LinkedIn and within weeks I was completing onsite interviews with 4 different people in the beginning of October. These individuals consisted of a senior analyst, manager, and directors. All four individuals were very professional and made me feel good about investing myself in the interview process and being a potential employee of Convergys. I completed a case study for the hiring team and took time away from my employer the time. All was fine and this was actions I was willing to take to be a member of the Convergys team.
Following these interviews and completion of the case study it was recommended that I speak to another hiring team (and different department) because my background was better suited for that team. As a candidate I was disappointed that the prior team could not use my skillset, but, I was fairly impressed that the team thought enough of me that I may be better suited for another team.
Thus far I had a relatively positive experience and the culture at Convergys was something that I wanted to be a part of. I proceeded to speak to 2 other individuals (One in mid November and the other in early December) and had reason to be hopeful. As an experienced member of the workforce, I realize that hiring during Q4 is a lengthy process for a lot of employers. The process started in mid September and I was not surprised a final decision would be made by the middle of December. I was happy to remain patient and was committed to speaking to whomever necessary to procure a position with Convergys.
All in, I had interviews with 7 individuals (counting the recruiter) and I had completed a case study. I last spoke (via email) to the recruiter the week of 12/11/17 and at last word, a decision was pending calibration with all the interviewers.
It is now February 08, 2018 and I do not know the results of the final calibration. Based on the time it's been since I last spoke to the recruiter, my best guess is that I was not a fit for Convergys. Hiring the "right" candidate is important for all employers and I respect that. We all want to work for an employer that does their due diligence and takes time to make an informed hiring decision. To this day I truly respect that about Convergys. What I find disappointing is the lack of follow-up. As a candidate that spent 7+ hours completing interviews and another 10+ completing a case study, I feel it's reasonable to expect some form of contact regarding the final decision. To not follow-up and to essentially ignore a candidate that invested so much time, is a disappointing move by Convergys. I had a positive experience up until the end.
Given the nature of my experience I cannot rate the overall experience as positive. It started well and has zero closure. Perhaps my interaction is an anomaly. Perhaps others will have a better experience. I truly hope so.

No predefined questions. Mostly conversational in nature, i.e. "Tell me about your background ...", "Why do you want to work for Convergys" ... "How do your skills and background relate to the role you've applied for" etc.

The interview was very straight forward. Just asked me Tell me about yourself at the beginning of the interview and went a bit deeper into what was on my resume. My skills and background.

1 screening call with HR, 3 phone interviews with leaders, and a case study in excel. Took about a month. Reached out after another month and never ever heard back. No phone call, no email, no physical mail nothing. I felt it was very unprofessional to have someone go through this many steps and even complete a case study just to not even warrant a simple "no thank you" email. Very disappointing considering what a large international company it is to conduct itself like that. Very glad it did not work out as I love the path I ended up on. But this left a poor impression they should be aware of. Treat people with basic respect.
