A few days after submitting my application, I was contacted by an HR representative for a 30-minute phone screening to clarify expectations about the salary and working environment, and give some information about my interests and background. Shortly after this call, I was invited to a longer Zoom interview with the department head to talk about my specific experiences and the job itself. During both conversations, I learned that a third and final interview would take place in person, in another state. Before I was invited to the third interview, continued spoke to two professional references and had me take the Birkman assessment. Continued paid for my flight and travel expenses for the third interview. I flew to the city where two future colleagues live, had a 3+ hour interview with them in the airport, then flew home the same day. During this interview, they shared more about the history of the company, answered my questions about company values and day-to-day practices, and asked me about my experience and work style, including a couple of questions based on my Birkman results. I got the job offer the next morning. Communication was quick and consistent throughout the process, especially considering that most of this took place over the holiday season.
