      Entrevista

Very concerning experience with Connectr at interview stage where I did not pass the first stage. Pre interview I was advised to complete a task which was to complete a review of an SOW in line with a company brief. Was advised in the task notes that they did not expect me to have a working knowledge of a task or the jargon/workplace language associated with completing such a task. The second stage of the interview consisted of scenario and situational based questions. After waiting around 3 days to obtain feedback on my interview it was that I had not completed the Statement of Work review thoroughly enough in line the with the details provided by the company brief. Perfectly fine with this response at this stage, I requested to understand where I possibly went wrong in line with the preparation of the brief. The recruitment lead advised on 2 areas of discrepancy that I should have mentioned in the SOW/brief review. As I had prepared quite meticulous notes pre meeting for the task I was able to cross reference what she said was a mistake. She mentioned 2 points that I raised in the presentation of the task and a further point that she went on to explain as a 'bonus' mark that wouldn't increase/decrease my score in the task (which of course is pointless for any marking criteria to mention) She also advised that the answers in my scenario based interviews were not succinct enough which I cannot dispute although I did provide related experience in the notes I prepared pre interview. After flagging the discrepancies in the decision making process that I found in relation to the marking of my prepared task I was advised that I was being 'aggressive' despite taking care to maintain a professional and courteous tone. It was quite insulting to have my feedback levelled at me as lacking attention to detail when the feedback call took place I was able to highlight inconsistencies in the recruitment process and the marking of the task simply by outlining what I had prepared for interview and cross referencing it with the outcome and review of how they had scored the task. I believe that this company despite being a 'DEI friendly' company has all the hallmarks of a virtue signalling capitalist venture. As a black man approaching this company for interview believing he prepared meticulously and thoroughly it was quite surprising to see that leadership and onboarding consisted entirely of white middle class individuals and I was interviewed by 3 white women. Quite the reflection of their company ethos. I would not have worked at Connectr after reading more into the comments on Glassdoor about employee experiences here. I get the feeling after a brief interview process with them that a lot of negative employee experiences are true. Avoid this company if you are talented and have something to offer, especially if you are from any background other than white middle class. They seem to have an issue with involving minority background employees in their DEI friendly company
