I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn to chat about the role. Quick chat about what was already on my profile, and she handed me off the the hiring manager.
Chatted with the hiring manager in great detail about what the role needed, how it was an internal backfill since someone was moving to another project. Proceeded to have a great 'panel' interview with 4 other members of the broader marketing team - totaling about 5 hours of my time.
I reached back out to the recruiter I'd been passed off to a few days later to express my thanks for the opportunity to chat with the team, and asked for any feedback.
In return, I waited nearly 2 weeks to hear back from the recruiter who in summary gave me the 'our team really enjoyed meeting you, we went with someone internal.' That is NOT feedback. That is 'scurry off now, we're done here.'
This was the only correspondence I had with the recruiter and it was terrible dealing with them, in what little interactions we had (2 emails). The rest of the team was delightful, and I was hoping for a little more understanding why I didn't move forward in the process as the hiring manager and I really hit it off.
The job posting is still up. I
