HR meeting, hiring team meeting I completed a video HR interview which was an ok process. While it may have saved some time for HR it probably took me longer than a conversation would have to go through the recordings. I felt it was a little impersonal but it was ok. The hiring team interview was a panel asking very formal questions about the subject and teaching style. I was excited to share how much I had learned recently in courses and in the real world since the topic area of my expertise continues to evolve. Based on the reactions there was more of an interest in someone who was seasoned at teaching formal decades old concepts rather than the modern industry. I wish that colleges and universities in general would embrace that everything has changed in recent times and they must embrace what students want and need to learn as related to current environments. AI can't be ignored, the digital world can't be ignored and few adjuncts are current in certain topics.
