I have applied via LinkedIn. The recruiter called me. Three rounds of interviews were there.
First was scheduled with the Team Lead sitting in Malaysia. Technical questions around SQL, TSQL, performance optimization, SQL queries, ETL scenario based questions were asked.
The second round was the Managerial round with person sitting in Malaysia, it was a kind of discussion related to who the client is and what they will be expecting from me. Also, I need to be part of the UST color scheme. At last, some questions from my end were answered, and he was very happy to onboard me as I was an immediate joiner.
The third round was of HR discussion where she asked me for documents. Client documents signed by me, my passport, and rest other document were shared as well.
After having all this, HR calls on the day of releasing the offer that the client has updated the JD and requires some DBA skills as well i.e. writing SQL queries, debugging them, and performance optimization. So she wants to have another technical interview. I tried to convince her that this all has been interviewed by the Tech Lead in detail in the Technical round. And also conveyed to her that if it is still required then I am good to attend again. However, I have received an offer of 28% more than what she was offering me. So I want to negotiate that as well. She immediately said to me if you have a better offer then go ahead with them.
So after wasting a week or two, the HR words are like that. On checking LinkedIn, the same job was reposted 3 days ago for which 100 applicants have applied already so they are getting more candidates may be at low cost so they are willing to go ahead with them and leaving others post having all interviews.
Please have backup ready for yourself.
