First step, a recruiter reached out to me to speak about the role. The next step, a "hiring manager" reached out to me to speak about the role in depth. Afterwards, I was given a pretty standard take-home exam via Github. After reviewing my solution, I was invited to a 3 to 4 hour long interview with different members of the team. This was also pretty standard and conversational. About a week later on a Friday, I was asked to give three references. They had reached out to my references and calls were scheduled. Monday morning (before the day even truly started), I received an automated rejection email and thought it may have been a mistake considering my references had calls scheduled so I asked to confirm. I did not hear back, however, a reference told me that one of my interviewers reached out to them and said the call was no longer needed because I am no longer being considered (which I'm pretty sure is a breach of confidentiality and highly dubious). So that's how I found out I truly wasn't being considered. Zero respect for the interviewees. It's actually pretty on par with the other "interviews" listed here and also with a review that stated they have a lack of respect for their interviewees.

Walk me through a project you helped build and design.
Me postulé a través de una recomendación de un empleado. El proceso tomó 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en CloudZero (Boston, MA) en abr 2024

Unfortunately the interview process was not very respectful. The hiring manager missed my initial phone screen and only reached out to reschedule after the time for the call had passed. The main interviews were fine, on par with what I would expect in terms of areas of focus and difficulty but when it came time for the coding problem I wasn't given it while on a call or meeting with any of their employees. Instead they explicitly chose to send the problem over email creating an additional barrier for communicating constraints and asking questions. In fact they initially gave no time constraint at all and when it was revealed later I was told that I should spend a few days working on the problem. Overall I felt that they had really very little respect for my time and treated me clearly and simply poorly.

There were many questions spread out for each round asking to go into detail about previous work projects and general working environments. The coding question was to build an API that solved a modified wordle problem.
