There were instances someone on the committee was rude. If they have a disagreement with an expert in the field on how a problem needs to be tackled, they can just disagree and reject the application, but being rude was extremely unprofessional. Besides they were asking an advisor to help them whom despite seemingly being an expert, was outdated and hard to understand there are new research findings on the topic.
