I participated in a three-round interview process that included multiple interviews and a presentation. The first two rounds were excellent. The interviewers were engaged, thoughtful, and genuinely interested in learning about my experience, leaving me with a very positive impression of the organization and its mission. Unfortunately, the final interview felt markedly different. The interviewer appeared disengaged throughout the conversation and responded to all of my detailed, "STAR" structured answers with "ok," which made the discussion feel more procedural than substantive. The organization ultimately selected an internal hire, which is certainly their prerogative, but after asking candidates to invest significant time in multiple rounds and a presentation, I would have appreciated more transparent communication. My greatest frustration was the lack of follow-up, as several emails requesting an update on the hiring timeline over the course of a month went unanswered. While I remain impressed by the interviewers I met in the earlier stages, the final round and communication process left me disappointed with the overall candidate experience.

HR interview about one month after submitting the application online, then heard whether advancing or not around 2 weeks later. Received a very kind and personalized rejection, which is rare at that stage of application.
