The initial stages of the hiring process were smooth — getting an interview arranged after applying was fast, professional, and efficient. However, the major downside was the complete lack of follow-up after the interview. Despite sending two follow-up emails to the HR contact, I received no response, and more than six weeks later, I still haven’t been officially informed of the outcome. I only found out through my own contacts at Cisco that I wasn’t selected.
It was disappointing to experience this, particularly given Cisco’s strong reputation as a great place to work. Unfortunately, the hiring process left a negative impression — not because of the outcome, but because of the lack of communication and closure. A company of Cisco’s size and standing should hold its recruitment experience to the same high standard as its workplace culture.
