      Entrevista para Area Manager

Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 1 semana. Acudí a una entrevista en Chipotle (Chicago, IL) en abr 2015

      Entrevista

I was contacted by company recruiter to interview at an upcoming job fair. As I have no "restaurant" experience I felt this was a long shot. She assured me my management experience was transferable. First, met with a recruiter and a current Manager. Went great! I was asked to stay for another round. Next group was another recruiter, current Manager and an executive. The executive never stood up to meet me, shake my hand or introduce himself. He never smiled. Seemed ticked off from the get go-before I ever spoke. He looked like a narly old man and acted like it. He never exuded the 13 characteristics Chipotle prides itself in attaining from its employees. I knew immediately he was not impressed and this interview would be my last. The other 2 gentleman were great and conducted themselves as professionals. As previously stated, I never expected to move through the process due to my lack of food background, but I was so impressed with what I read about the company, I was intrigued and hoped for a positive outcome. Sooo disappointed with the negative, unprofessional attitude of the one executive (who should be the example of all company culture attributes). His opinion would be important. The event was well set up, staffed and everyone else I met was great. Too bad this one person has drastically changed my opinion of the company. Being that he was so transparent before I ever spoke, I seriously suspect either gender issues, I'm female, age issues-over 50. Whatever the issue, his mind was made up before the interview started. I would hope Chipotle would want all applicants to walk away with a good feeling about the company and the interviewing process. Everyone is not going to get an offer but the integrity of the company is on the line. As stated in most customer service training, one negative experience does irreparable damage.

      Entrevista

They sent over a video HireVue link, which had a standardized 6 question interview- this way all of the candidates can have the same questions and be graded on the same criteria. I was invited to do this interview within 48 hours of the link, I am not sure what would happen if you are unable to get it done within that time frame.

      Pregunta 1

I was contacted by a recruiter to meet a local recruiter for the initial interview. If I was unable to make the day and time they had selected, I was given the option of doing an online video interview. I met the recruiter at my appointed time. The interview was casual. The recruiter was genuinely wanting to get to know me and gauge my personality for the fit of the role. I was told the environment was casual and to wear jeans. I did so even though I am use to a suit every day. A nice change from a stuffy stressful interview process.
