What a waste of time! Multiple rounds of interviews, I showed them my portfolio, website, and experience. Talked about what marketing strategies I would implement and asked appropriate questions. My final interview I meet with the franchise owner and someone else who would give her title. Right off the bat, the franchise owner says “we normally only higher within for these positions.” (Why am I here then?) I get asked the normal questions (tell us about yourself, why do want to work here, etc.) only to be told at the end of the interview “well our caterer has been doing great things for our marketing.” As the interview progresses, I’m name terms I know they have no clue what I’m talking about and when I asked questions like “what is a goal you want for marketing? Do you want to increase your social media presence?” All I got was a vague response. Don’t get me started on their attire and attitude… ripped shirts and pants is not appropriate attire for an interview. Two days they say “we went with another candidate.” When I tired to follow up about what I could improve on for the next interview, all I got was “well… um… we just went with someone who is already working for us.”

Easy interviews, two in-person rounds, but candidates are often left without follow-up communication or rejection notice, resulting in unexpected ghosting after the process ends and uncertainty for applicants frequent lack.
