Me postulé en persona. El proceso tomó 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Chewy (Boston, MA) en ago 2019

      Entrevista

I attended an all day conference (which was half job fair, half conference) in Boston and went to Chewy’s booth to talk about a UX/UI position they had open on their job board. I had a chat with a recruiter about myself, the role, team, and company. I left her my information, then heard back a day or so later and arranged a phone call with her the next week. During the phone call she got more info about my history and she shared more specific details about the role and team. She said she would schedule a call with the team lead which was able to be done the next day. The call with the team lead got more into what technologies I’d used, opinions on them, and such. He also shared some information about the team, project, and the technologies they use. I heard back the next day that they’d like to schedule an in person interview which was arranged for 5 days after that for just under 3 hours. I met with two pairs of people from the team, had a tour, then sat with the director of the group the team is a part of. The two team portions went great. The team lead and another team member focused on what I’ve worked with, how the team works, and JavaScript questions. The second team portion was a video call with team members from the Florida office and asked CSS and some JavaScript questions. Both sets of people were great and I actually enjoyed this part of the interview (which I can't say about most other interviews I've done). Talking with the director was fantastic. He clearly has a vision and the things he shared made me really excited to possibly be a part of this team. The office space is great and the people I met were all wonderful. The workspace is an open floor plan with different teams grouped together and they are on two floors of the building. Unfortunately, shortly after my interview the additional staffing approval for the team was reduced. I'm glad I got through the process to learn all I did about them because they seem like a great team and company. Everyone from beginning to end was wonderful to work with!
