      Wow folks - this was a first for me after working in talent for quite a while and it couldn't be more disappointing... the Recruiting team at Charlie Health really needs to get their act together. The Director sends out wildly vague outreach notes on LinkedIn and personally asks you for an interview. When you accept, he punts you to a calendly link to talk to one of his associates because he's too busy. You then sign up for a time slot, and get randomly allotted someone to speak with. The calendar invites you to call them - they will not call you, you have to set up and initiate your own interview... When you call their team, you are not even necessarily speaking with a recruiter. Apparently they are so understaffed that they have other staff doing their intro calls. They also don't know who they are speaking with or for what role - you are essentially directing the call, that is 15 minutes where they don't give you time for any of your own questions unless you push. They get you on a call and the person I spoke with knew nothing about the jobs I was interviewing for. She had never even seen my profile. Their jobs have state specifications and I had to point out that the job she kept referring to has no salary listed and was listed specifically excluding certain states for hire - one of which was where i lived. I asked her how that oversight could have been made considering the director reached out on LinkedIn and very much knew where I was located. She didn't have an answer for that one other than to take it to the team. Apparently* this was an oversight on their part, but after a week the job description has not changed and still excluded those states... hmmm... The only question the woman cared about was KPIs. You are hiring Charlie Healths therapists for all locations and apparently you're supposed to do more than 40 interviews a week and look to hire 20+ therapists a month. For a for profit company.. where they don't take Medicaid... which would be most beneficial to the mental health population that they serve... where they obviously can't retain therapists if you have to hire 20+ a month... and where the recruiting team sits in an isolated, siloed remote hole dialing too many people to clearly evaluate said therapists who's jobs should be scrutinized an an entirely higher level so as to make sure they are the correct fit to work in Mental Health. Holy moly, Charlie Health, you have some issues going on. The other reviews are true as well - the next step after a pitiful phone screen is an aptitude test - Pearsontalens, to be exact, that is supposed to test your observation skills but provides no insight into how one might actually do their job and interact with people. Recruiters are not robots. They play a key role in determining the value and correct fit of employees in an organization and for a mental health organization, Charlie Health has taken all the humanity out of their process. This test is also 45 minutes of your time you will never get back, for a job where they didn't allow you to ask any questions up front. Next comes a sour interview with their director, whos heavily focused on KPIs, how much work you can turn out, and asking absolutely nothing about how you can engage with your candidates and your work. This is not a manager nor a mentor. The final step is the aforementioned requisition project where they have you prove your worth yet again with an unpaid project that just provides them with free prospects. It's horrendous and not worth anytime time. Charlie Health, I'll say it again, do better. And if you've made it this far in the review, don't bother interviewing. Theyre desperate and obviously have a ridiculously high churn rate. It's not worth your time, and don't give them your work for free. They obviously don't give a single care for any of their employees, that much is clear.

      Interview process was fairly standard and focused mainly on past performance metrics, experience, and the type of work environment I’m looking for. Conversations were direct and to the point, with a few rounds that lasted a reasonable amount of time. Overall, the process gave a clear idea of the role and expectations.

      3 Interviews via video call Hosting recruiter was timely and communicative with updates! The questions I was asked seemed like red flags. My impression is that it may be a dysfunctional and harsh environment and they want to make sure the hire can handle it. I appreciate that they want to make sure it's a good fit, but it sounds like they need to do some work internally. Doesn't seem like a good sign that several of their recruiting related roles have been open for so long as well. I probably would have still accepted an offer because the comp package looked good but I might have regretted it later on.
