      Entrevista para Support Engineer

Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó más de 1 semana. Acudí a una entrevista en Certona (San Diego, CA) en sep 2018

      Entrevista

Interview process is 4 parts: Started with a phone interview asking general questions, Alex was a great guy to talk to, he described the role and if I knew what the company did. He talked about compensation and benefits. The next interview was a technical interview with who would be my supervisor, a former Support Engineer. She hardly asked me anything technical, I think about one or two questions and asked if I had any questions. It seems like they use a fairly outdated tech stack, the main one being jQuery...no JS frameworks or libraries, and they were JUST NOW (Sept 2018) switching over to using Git for version control (Really?) The third interview was with the CEO and the woman I interviewed with for my technical interview over Skype, since I was not in San Diego to do the interview. Gary is a knowledgable guy and knows the company and the outlook well and was able to explain and answer all my questions very well. They asked me about some of my projects in depth, my background and previous experience, and a few technical questions regarding the tech stack they used to see if I was familiar with what they worked with. 4th and final interview was in person with director of HR and the client services manager. I thought I killed the interview, but I did not get an offer. After following up, I was told they went with the "ideal candidate" and that I did fine, but I had fierce competition and the selected candidate had a more ideal background, more customer service experience, etc. The offer was 55LK with full benefits and 4 weeks vacation, not terrible for San Diego but not really a livable wage for an 8 - 5 job 5 days a week.
