Was asked to complete a presentation and assignment that felt inappropriate for the interview stage. I was reassured by the hiring manager that they only expected X number of hours, but it realistically could not be done in that time span. Completed presentation and 4 one-on-one interviews on the same day that seemed to go well, only to be completely ghosted by the manager and HR for 2 weeks. Both ignored attempts at reaching out. When I reached out again asking for clarity so that I could decide whether or not to move on with another offer, I was sent a curt email from HR that everyone had been on vacation. Finally received a rejection with no feedback, request for feedback was ignored. Wish I had listened to my gut and not gone through with the interview. It's really a shame when companies treat candidates this way, it's incredibly exhausting and dehumanizing. After months of poor treatment during interviews, this was the final straw that has gotten me to decide to leave industry.
