The job posting advertised $50–60K for candidates with 3–5 years of admin/data entry experience. I have 4.5 years of exact relevant experience in the same role at a competitor company and met all the listed qualifications. I went through two interviews, and at no point was salary discussed. After being selected as the final candidate, I was asked to complete background checks and an in-person medical exam, which required a 4-hour round trip drive out of the city. Only after completing all of this they presented an offer of $50K!! FYI: the average salary for this role in GTA is $67k! I’m very disappointed with the lack of transparency around compensation. If the company was not willing to consider salaries closer to the advertised range, this should have been clarified earlier in the process to avoid wasting a candidate’s time and effort.
