Given the lack of feedback and communication during the interview process, I would advise others to consider alternatives if possible. While my experience interviewing with Capital One left me feeling very disheartened, I believe there are areas where the company could improve. Despite investing over 100 hours into preparation, which included two case interviews and a virtual onsite with five rounds covering a range of topics, I received no feedback upon being rejected. I did well and answered all their questions correctly. There appears to be bias as well in selecting a candidate. This lack of communication left me feeling frustrated and unsure about the outcome, especially considering the positive feedback I received during the interview process.
While I acknowledge that rejection is a part of the job search process, I believe that providing constructive feedback to candidates would greatly benefit both parties. Transparency in the hiring process fosters trust and allows candidates to better understand their strengths and areas for improvement.
Overall, while my experience with Capital One was disappointing, I hope that sharing my feedback will contribute to a more transparent and constructive interview process for future candidates, as well as bias.

Frist round included a virtual culture assessment. Online scenarios and options of what to chose so that they can see the types of decisions you make, not necessarily how you make these decisions.
The interview process was smooth overall. It started with a computer screening, followed by a 30-minute recruiter call focused on my experience and fit with Capital One. Then I had a one-hour “money case” discussing a Capital One product from different angles. I’ve now moved to the PowerDay round, which includes two product cases, one product skills round, and one product discovery round.

Interview had 4 rounds: assessment, recruiter, hiring manager, and Power Day. The Power day was 4 30 min interview sessions with other managers. It was pretty straight forward, just prepare some STAR based experiences.
