Started off with an online assessment with database questions and some SQL, then a recruiter call, and then interview rounds. I did the first round case interview. My interviewer showed up late and was reluctant to answer any questions. She was overall rude and felt like she didn’t even want to be there. Ended the meeting without properly addressing me. I checked other reviews and ppl I know had similar experiences, this company is known to be rude to candidates for no reason

Had the interview couple of weeks ago. Recruiters were fine but the whole hiring process was way too frustrating. Both from the JD and HR, it's described as technical job focus on SQL, but I feel they were actually looking for a business person who knows basic SQL.
Passed one online technical test, which was one basic SQL question and 14 multiple choice on data manipulation. The 1st round was one Buesiness case round, high school mathematical question and one super easy SQL test. The 2nd was a technical round, which were easy LeetCode style questions. Failed at the last 2-hour business case round, it was an extended version of 1st round and it could get tricky if you never touch such questions before.
No behavioural or project experience questions were asked throughout the interview and most of time was spent on business cases unrelated to SQL/Technical skills.

1- Online Codesignal assessment of 15 questions
2- HR phone screen (30 min)
3- Interviewer-led mini case interview (45 min)
4- Technical Fit SQL interview (1 hr)
5- Powerday (2 full cases back to back, 1 hr each) - I did not make it to this step.
The process was rather drawn out and long given that I gave the initial SQL test in early July and my last step (technical fit) happened mid-september. They don't tell you why you didn't make it and do not disclose any feedback which is not helpful.
I also felt blindsided by their team in technical fit interview. The guide mentioned it would involve verbal questions and SQL assessment involving answering their database questions with "pseudocode". In the actual interview, the interviewer fully expected me to write executable queries (which is fine) without any syntax error even though I had no indication of which SQL engine it is.
Their overall process is thorough but I think they are very conventional and sort of stuck in the past with their interview practices.

Initial Codesignal assessment: 14 MCQs and 1 SQL query question.
Mini-case interview: A rideshare company wants to expand into a new canadian city XYZ, how would you assess the feasibility? Then I was given some data to assess if the company is profitable? Do the numbers make sense? You realized that insurance is higher than anticipated, what is the contribution margin now? What is your final conclusion?
Technical Fit: They give you a schema (1 - 3 tables) and ask you to write queries for:
1) • Tell us• how much • Cash• payments• (total•$) •we • receive each day?
2) • Identify all customers who have more payments • ($) • in cash • than they have electronically?
3) • Identify all customers who have made • over $10,000• in cash • payments during any two day period.
