The interview process overall was a bit ambiguous; it started off amazing with a thorough screening with the recruiter. Then, an hour-long interview with the hiring manager went fine. My final round was a panel with the hiring manager, art director, web merchandising specialist, and then one of their digital marketing directors. The panel went good as I prepared well to showcase my experience. The confusing part was the follow-ups after that final round. I sent off thank you notes and didn't hear much back until a day or so later. The recruiter said I was still a candidate and were wrapping up other interviews that week. I randomly received a reject email from them but then the recruiter quickly followed up to tell me that was an error and to disregard. After that I was pretty much ghosted after having previous colleagues and professional connections submit references. It's perfectly fine but it would've been nice to have some sort of closure after having such a consistent experience with the recruiter initially.
