3 stage interview. First over Teams with AI Scientist. Just a chat about our interests and a casual chat about our backgrounds. Second was a Codility challenge with three Python coding problems - questions surrounded dealing with lists and dictionaries in interesting and complex ways, not anything to do with specific data science or statistics tasks. The third part was an in-person two hour interview consisting of a ten minute presentation on a machine learning project of my choice, 1.5 hours technical interview and 0.5 hours culture fit. The technical interview consisted of set questions asking to define concepts in machine learning such as clustering, overfitting and PCA. They also gave problems such as, in Python, how would you get the misspelled words in a thesis if given a thesis and a list of all dictionary words? There was also a bioinformatics section relating to mRNA sequence mutation types, general genomics and biomedical data science. Overall good experience and lovely people.
