      I applied online and had an employee referral. I was reached out to by a recruiter for a phone screen, it went really well and she lined up the second interview with the manager of the department within 30 minutes of ending our call. The second round was with the manager of the department. He claimed it would not be a formal interview as that would be held for in person next round. He did not ask me much at all regarding my experience. He told me about the team and work and even introduced me to some of the team members that were in the office with him by putting them on the camera. The conversation was not private at all. After that interaction he claimed he would have the recruiter set up a in person interview but disclosed to me that he already had several candidates from the last rounds of interviews he was considering. At that point, I did not understand why he would be conducting interviews with more people if you have several that you like and are considering. What more do you need? After the call ended I never heard from him or the recruiter again. I sent a follow up email and still nothing. Respect candidates time. A simple update goes a long way in candidate experience.
