Cofounder showed up 10 minutes late to 25m interview - clearly multitasking while doing other things. Rebuffed benign small talk. Repeated same questions from recruiter screen. Asked for questions, responded in single words or jargon - clearly had already decided going into the interview. Ended interview 10 minutes early.

Recruiter screen behavioral Hiring Manager screen behavioral Panel interview and presentation behavioral (review of prior project) The behavioral questions were very standard and didn’t really probe on real skills like FAANG would. The presentation was spent justifying the project (as the VP struggled to understand outside context) and many random questions unrelated to the project (side feedback from the Design lead on interaction details which very much was off topic). The presentation sadly didn’t get to touch on the project’s strategic context but instead was an opportunity for interviewers to try to understand unrelated strategy at another company. The interviewers lacked a lot of structure and didn’t really understand many of the first principles (research their background before presenting to understand their pedigree and possible approaches).
