Very fast and efficient. Time from contact with recruiter to offer was a little more than a week. Initial call with recruiter, followed by a phone screen with a VP of engineering, followed by a 4 hour onsite (virtual).

Interview process was the typical phone screen with onsite afterwards. Phone screen was quick and easy - standard question related to trees. Onsite was a bit trickier with the coding questions seemingly designed to test if you knew specific details instead of overall approach. I don't think this is the best way to test candidates - especially given the fact that this had to be done on an old Chromebook through their HackerRank portal. Also had a design question that I could've done better on for sure, but at that point I was already pretty sure it wasn't a fit. It wasn't a fit because I could not get an overall concise answer as to what Cadre actually did. I did research beforehand, so I had an idea, but coming into these interviews, I was looking for people that are able to explain this goal concisely and simply. After about 3 interviews, I got a better idea, but I expected each interviewer to be able to give me their own rendition of it and sell me on it instead of bits and pieces of the overall picture. Nice office and great lunch.
