I received an apology email and request to have an interview with what would be my boss. I set the date and time. Less that 12 hours before interview, I get an update that I won't be meeting with the manager of the role, but the CCO of the company. He showed up late and asked generic questions. A week later I got the email saying that I was being passed over for this role.
