I applied for the role online, 2-3 days later I was asked if I could attend a telephone interview with the someone in senior management. I was told I didn't need to prepare much just tell them about my self. The interview was truly one of the worst I have ever done..the person who was hiring the role was so belittling and rude I was shocked. I was asked to talk about my CV and as I described what I had accomplished all I could hear was "he's not right for the role" "he has no idea has he even read the job description" I could hear the interviewer murmur these under her breath which put me off. I was then told the role was essential a customer relationship management role which was not what the job description said or even the title of the role! The" SOC Manager" role at Cadent is essential someone who manages contracts and 3rd parties. There is no technical SOC Work, no looking at alerts, no creating new content, no writing of playbooks! Purely CRM! No Cyber security experience needed. After the interview I was left disgusted and had a call from HR who asked how did it go....I told them about my experience and they were not even surprised! They said "yeah we get bad feedback about the recruiter all the time, I'll have a word" I am so glad I didn't get the job here!
