A recruiter reached out and had a standard introductory call and scheduled a first round with the HM. She was very pleasant and interested and we had a good conversation. My skills may have been a bit more advanced than they were looking for and I didn't have experience in the specific industry they were scoping, but she said that wouldn't be a problem. I followed up with the recruiter via email afterwards saying I enjoyed the conversation and would be looking forward to hearing back about next steps. They never bothered to reach out again, and a month later, I've still not heard anything.
