I did an initial video call with a recruiter (from the company) and was invited to do an in-person interview but didn't go. I did about 8 interviews this month and this was the only one that left me with a bad feeling. The recruiter only asked me two questions about myself and spent the rest of the 20 minutes lecturing me about the company... and I mean "lecturing" literally. He wasn't telling me about the position, he was monologuing about how prestigious and successful the company is and he honestly seemed annoyed that I wasn't already knowledgeable about the firm. It was a really weird call and the recruiter was strangely off-putting for someone in his line of work, but I was still interested in interviewing with the people I'd actually be working with. I was offered an in-person interview and gave them my availability, but before he scheduled it I ended up accepting a job offer I was really excited about, so I emailed him as a courtesy to let him know I wanted to be withdrawn from consideration and thanked him for his time. He emailed me back and said he thought this was going to happen and asked me if I was absolutely sure I didn't at least want to come in for an interview to make sure I really didn't want to work for them. It was such a weird and unprofessional response, and in every interaction I had with this recruiter I felt like I had somehow upset him or done something wrong. Maybe it's a nice company to work for but I didn't want to stick around and find out, given how disrespectful the recruiter was.
