I had a phone interview with a very nice woman who does the screenings. After I gave her my experience, she thought I'd be perfect for the job. She set up a f2f interview for 02/13/13. Me and several other candidates took a tour and were ushered into a waiting area. The people giving tours are from CareerBuilder. In my interview, the recruiter did most of the talking. I answered all her questions and asked a few of my own. I talked about my previous positions and duties, my understanding of their expectations. I was then taken downstairs to wait for results. They had the career builder rep come in to tell me that she was told I was not a good fit. Why? They claim I wasn't engaged enough and I didn't look professional. I am not understanding this decision as I had every qualification required and 5 years of experience in the healthcare industry. What exact engagement level are they looking for because I thought the interview went well. As for not looking professional, I was wearing a long dress, it's not like I had on jeans. I walked out disappointed. I've never been told I didn't get a job because of appearance. There needed to be elaboration on "you're not engaged enough".
