I got an email from a recruiter based in London for a 30mn chat, then same with the manager, then with his manager based in Shanghai. Finally I had to do a PowerPoint. And then no answer, nothing. I had to ask them for feedback, the recruiter wasn’t working there anymore, got an automatic reply. Bytedance and TikTok are part of these companies that ask to do a presentation on an idea or a strategy just for their personal intelligence. Free work! It’s a shame

There were three rounds of interviews, the first one with the app manager in Brazil and the other two with managers in China. The interviews in English are very technical and have medium-complexity questions (which become high complexity due to the language barrier). To be honest, the process was not complex, but a little bit desorganized. From the candidate's perspective, automatic feedbacks after three interviews, two of them in the early morning, is a little frustrating and lacking in empathy.
