      Entrevista

I was contacted by them to apply, and then never heard back from them. Then the website myCNAjobs set up an interview for me. When I arrived at the appointed time, it seemed like nobody was expecting me, and didn't know what to do with me. When the interview finally began, I started out with a group of about six people that included a representative of the Human Resources Department, and nurses and other staff from at least three different departments. They narrowed it down to two departments that were interested in me, and then the one that needed my experience more than the other. After we talked for about 15 minutes, they seemed very eager to hire me, discussed with me a tentative start date, and had me fill out a paper application complete with authorization for a TB test and the drug test. Then they asked to make copies of my driver's license and social security card and their whole attitude changed. Suddenly they wanted me to hold off on even the on-site drug screening pending completion of the background check. (I was already in the state registry for care providers, so I didn't expect any problems.) The nurse insisted that she needed a copy of my resume in order to proceed with the hiring, so I went home and e-mailed it to her within a couple hours. Exactly two weeks later, I called her and she said that she was in a meeting, and took my name and number, and promised to call me back. I called again the next day, and two days after that, and left messages, but I've never heard from her again.

      Preguntas de entrevista [1]

      Pregunta 1

They didn't ask any specific questions about my previous clients or how I would handle situations with residents. They were more interested in whether I would actually show up for my shifts. I pointed out that I had worked an overnight shift, and then a morning shift, and had shown up for the interview -- promptly, so they ought to expect that I'll do the same when they're actually paying me to do so.

      Entrevista

I applied on their company website, and was called for an interview just a few short days later. The Wellness Director (RN) conducted a very brief phone interview to narrow down what they had available and asked me some questions about my experience. I was invited to interview 1:1 with the Wellness Director, given a tour of the community, and asked more questions about my experience in healthcare. The interview consisted of basic interview-type questions that are common in CNA/Caregiver jobs. Pay and hours were discussed during this interview as well. The job offer was contingent upon negative TB test results, favorable reference checks, background check, and a negative drug screen. All very standard if you have experience in healthcare. All of the services were easy to access and paid for by the company. It was very efficient.
