Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 3 días. Acudí a una entrevista en Bridgewater Associates (Westport, CT) en jun 2010

      Entrevista

The first interview was a fun creative group interview. Then when I went back for my second interview, it was very dry and condesending. I feel they were trying to break me down, so I would feel thankful to have them offer me the job. Yes, the salary was good, but I could not live my day to day life this way.

Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 1 día. Acudí a una entrevista en Bridgewater Associates (Westport, CT)

      Entrevista

The interview process was a little over a 1/2 a day, and was group based. You have your standard case study where you work together as a group to come up with a cohesive answer, then you are questioned whether or not you met your goals and succeeded. Bridgewater is really looking to see how you react in certain settings, logic, and common sense. Just be yourself because they see through BS and fake answers, and will grill you until the truth comes out. After the case study is the culture fit portion where two new employees come in and talk about BW and want to get to know you deeper. Don't expect to talk about your past work experiences at all! Make sure you know your strengths and weaknesses, and expect to talk about them on a deeper level. They know exactly the type of people they are looking to hire and have guidelines to follow when grading a person. After lunch 3 people were asked to leave and myself and one other person were asked to stay for further questioning. I talked with two other people about the job position and the department they worked for, they dug into my past work experience and basic job interview questions. I also talked about my college, hobbies, passions, and goals. During the day I felt completely comfortable and myself and loved how they wanted to get to know me personally. Ultimately it wasn't a good cultural fit and I didn't get the position, but I don't regret going on the interview. My advice, be yourself! it's hard to prepare for this interview because you can't change your personality and how you react to certain situations. Ask questions, ask questions, ask questions... they want you to interview them as well.
