First screening interview: Recruiter reached out to do an interview. We scheduled an interview about a 3-4 days out. I rearranged my morning for the day of the interview (I was traveling) to make sure no one booked me for that morning or had an itinerary planned that included me. The recruiter canceled the interview less than an hour before the call citing she did not want to waste my time. Clearly, cancelling a meeting less than an hour in advance – and while people haven't even started their workday (and checking email) – already wasted the most productive time of my morning. This was most dysfunctional and disorganized recruiting experience in my professional career. Nothing like Microsoft (where I used to work), and other well oiled mid sized companies in the same CRM space. I can only imagine their lack of marketing vision and execution would be the same. The last minute cancellation speaks to a total lack of professionalism, courtesy, and preparedness on their side. Upon looking into the company, I can see they are top heavy and lacking in execution. I guess that applies here as well.
