I had a quick screening interview for the new office they are opening in Paris. The company really interested me and I got contacted a few days after applying for an interview which was a screening with basic question about my background, why I applied, what I understood of the product and explaining me why they are hiring, the company evolution and the job. The interview was short as it cut twice because the interview had some connection issues. In the end, he told me he was coming back to me in the middle of the next week after talking to his manager. He came back earlier and wrote me that they were going with other applicants that better fit the profile even though my profile was exactly for the job but it could be something specific so I wrote back twice asking more insights on what exactly didn’t fit in my profile and never got an answer. I don’t find it very nice to not give thorough explanation because it feels like I have wasted my time and have not actually been considered…
