      I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with the recruitment process for a Jr. Product Executive role. Despite being initially shortlisted, the entire process was poorly managed and left much to be desired. Initial Contact: After applying, I was thrilled to receive news that I had been shortlisted for the next round. The recruiter requested some additional information, which I promptly provided. However, that’s where the communication abruptly ended. Lack of Follow-Up: Weeks went by with no further updates. I took the initiative to follow up multiple times via email, hoping to get some clarity on the next steps or even just a confirmation that my information had been received. Despite my persistent efforts, I received no response whatsoever. Reapplication and Response: After 25 days of silence, I decided to reapply for the same role to understand where things had gone wrong. To my surprise, I received a curt response from the recruiter stating, "As per our company policy, we cannot process your application right now since you were recently rejected for a job at our company." This was the first indication I had received that my application had been rejected. It was disheartening to learn about my rejection in such an impersonal manner, and only after my reapplication. Lack of Professionalism: The lack of communication and transparency was extremely frustrating. If a candidate is being rejected, it is only professional courtesy to inform them. Ignoring follow-up emails and failing to notify candidates of their application status shows a clear disregard for their time and effort. This experience has left me with a very negative impression of the company’s recruitment process. There is a significant need for improvement in their communication and candidate management practices. Aspiring candidates deserve to be treated with respect and professionalism, and this experience fell far short of that standard. Recruiters should understand that their role is not only to evaluate candidates but also to represent their company in a positive light.
