The interview at the Principal level is considered a senior lateral higher; therefore, it is a bit different than an entry level interview. The candidate is assumed to have basic consulting skills the there is not as much stress on the case portion. Interview is more focused on classic resume walk and experience in prior similar roles

3 rounds of case studies with individual interviewers. 20 min conversation on personal fit questions. Tested: logical thinking, ownership and drive, and calculation analysis. Interview process is highly structured and standardized

Case presentation was tough but they gave me a good work through. At the end they told me that I was the best one they had interviewed so I was relieved.
