The preliminary interview went well. The interviewer was friendly and spoke English clearly. The entire session lasted close to an hour. We started with about 10 minutes of introductions, where each candidate got to introduce themselves.
After that, we spent around 20 minutes watching a Borderlink video, followed by a 10–15 minute group discussion with more than five candidates.
The One-On-One interview felt like a waste of time since the interviewer seemed disengaged. I was interviewed by someone with a strong Asian accent, and it was quite difficult to understand some of the questions. I had to ask her to repeat herself several times, which I think may have annoyed her. She also seemed to have trouble understanding my answers, even though I tried to explain them clearly and in different ways. Most of the questions were based on the application form, so I’d recommend making sure your answers don’t contradict what you’ve written there.
The interview lasted about 40 minutes, and I knew I wasn’t going to be selected because she didn’t even ask me to do a demo lesson.
