Me postulé a través de una agencia de empleos. El proceso tomó 1 día. Acudí a una entrevista en Boppo Technologies (Nueva Delhi)
Entrevista
I got an email from a consultancy and a Job title included Manual Tester.
Although the roles and responsibilities asked for were more of an Automation Test Engineer profile.
The title of the job looked promising so I thought for applying on that job.
I was interviewed by a lady named Manisha Salian and started of by asking for my introduction.
I had a DWH testing background and used SQL, Ms Excel PIVOT & HP ALM tools in the past. So after walking her through my technical background the interviewer started asking me questions, some of which were irrelevant to a 'Manual testing' interview process. Also these questions were not relevant with the Job description which was shared.
*Not a single question was asked based on my Resume.
I was expecting questions like:
1. what is DWH Testing,
2. Joins
3. Severity & Priority
4. What is Data indexing
5. How do you Compare data (Expected result with Actual result.)
Giving interview here feels like the technical interviewer doesn't care/ is not interested to know what a candidate has done OR what he can do for the organization.
Instead they want to know answers to stupid questions like 'what is security testing' in a manual testing interview.
@Manisha Salian the next time you interview someone
1. Read the content in the candidate's resume.
2. Focus on your questionnaire that you have prepared.
3. Map the questionnaire with the candidate's resume & then ask the questions.
