Started the interview with saying there is no designing involved there, am I okay with that? Salary range is not clear. It was advertised between £24k-28k at first. For the second time I have seen it for £26k-28k. On the day I’ve been told the “base” salary is £18k but it all depends on the location. I can earn up to £30k apparently. Also, they earn commission but it’s also based on the location, it varies. Usual retail hours; every weekend you’re scheduled. They send you a questionnere before the interview with questions like : -Can you work every/most weekend and Bank Holiday? There is 2 days off during the week and week-end are a must as we have the highest traffic during that time. -Are you flexible in working hours? We have different 8h shifts which can vary from store to store? -When required, are you happy to do customer Home consultations/visit? -Do you understand that this is a retail position with 80% sales/admin/store routine and 20%design? Any comments -/ Where do you live? Is the travel to work ok? As to location- which store(s) would not be suitable -If employed, why do you want to move on? -What is your salary expectations? Technically they now know everything about me but they have said nothing about the position. Every question I asked I was given a shallow reply, nothing certain. Absolutely waste of my time.
