Now, there is absolutely no suggestion on my CV that I speak Arabic (I am not even from the region) or that I’d covered Middle Eastern news in the past. After each attempt to explain my profile, the person doing the interview kept repeating the same points, as though sticking to some pre-regearsed script. I have neither produced stories on the Middle East nor do I speak Arabic. Racist recruiting practices. I wrote to Alexander afterwards. Have not heard from him till this day.
