Applied through LinkedIn and didn't hear back until over a month later stating "We are pleased to inform you that your application for XYZ has been moved to the next step!" Not sure what the next step was since it wasn't clarified. Another week went by before they reached out to schedule a 15 minute phone call. I was then moved on to a Teams audio interview with the hiring manager which went well - so well she had reached out to the recruiter during our call to have me moved forward to the next step. The very next day I had another Teams audio call which again went well. Every interview was very much just conversational and did not seem like an interrogation which was a plus. Communication was very personable and quick until the after the last interview. I even sent a thank you follow up email the next day & never heard back. Instead of receiving a nice personal email from the recruiter, I received the typical "After careful consideration, we regret to inform you that you have not been selected for this position." a week later.
