The school was running late on my interview- about 20 to 25 min late. I walked in and there were 7 people interviewing me. Too many people! As I interviewed, I looked around and I felt as if some people were not even engaged. I caught the principal checking his phone. There were some nice people, but the teachers from the math department were young and not friendly, and the principal did not act like he had over 20 years of educational experience. His e-mails were polite, but I was not even informed what this teaching position was going to be for (I have multiple certs). Didn't get a good feeling from some of these people - they don't remember what it is like to be young and out of college and how intimidating it can be to talk with 7 strangers asking you questions that are so pretentious.
